Nadan Chicken Curry

A simple chicken curry. Somehow this came very tasty.

Though B is not a fan of chicken curries, he liked this one. Malu and Minnu also ate it.

Now I am thinking, how I made this.. it was something I made so easily, in short time , and the funny part is I wont be able to recreate this taste  next time. As B says, its the dedication and mind set that makes a dish tastier, may be true!

Vishu - 2014

Another Vishu , here in Kuwait. Same photo, same settings , honestly I started feeling bored on this, had no enthusiasm to do something , but to my surprise Malu started asking me, amma are you not planning to do kani for vishu? She was not satisfied when i replied in a lazy mood. Then she started to list down the activities for vishu day, she cant wait to get my call in the morning , closing her eyes and seeing kani, then she wants the big banana leaf sadya too! Aah, I felt good! Always , I wanted to give my kids a feel of our festivals, a feel of my childhood memories, here they miss those colorful festivals and our get togethers , but atleast I am able to give them some memories.. I am really happy.

Ofcourse, we made a sadya too. but it was a working day, so my maid chechi helped to arrange all these.
it was good .

Fruit Custard

Recipe Courtesy : Fruit Custard

Im not a big fan of custard, but when i saw her recipe, just wanted to try it.. So easy to make. I like to serve it as fruit salad, so freeze and used the next day.  It was good

Both B & Malu liked it.

Soya Fritters

Recipe Courtesy : Spicy Chilly

This is a very good snack especially in a cold rainy evening. It rained heavily last two days and i made this on one evening. just followed instructions from the link. This is one easy way to make use of Soya chunks. i make soyachunk fry , like beef fry but B always complain that soya is soggy. So i decided not to make the fries anymore , will use up the chunks as fritters.

It got finished in 5 minutes , very nice :)
